Ms account (19pp), undated but 1943, of his experiences in HMS PRINS ALBERT, a Landing Ship (Infantry), in convoy from Southampton, 6 June 1943, describing the constant U Boat attacks and the sinking of a U Boat by the Escort Destroyer HMS TETCOTT; landing 3rd Commandos at Sicily, 10 July 1943, witnesssing the dropping of airborne troops and gliders; landing the 2nd Commandos at Salerno, 9 September 1943, ferrying reinforcements from North Africa to Sicily and Italy between operations; of the damage and strain caused by German bombing and mines; and the safe return to the United Kingdom despite U Boat attacks.
