Ms. diary with ts. transcription (150pp) covering his service as a heart-lung specialist with the Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC) in North Africa, November 1942 - March 1944, in Italy near Naples, March-December 1944, in Greece January-April 1945 and Italy/Austria May-November 1945 principally at No 72 British General Hospital with references to civilian conditions amongst Arabs and French in Algeria/Tunisia, his medical duties and cases examined, the arrival and treatment of enemy prisoners of war, criticism of US servicemen, problems in Italy caused by large numbers of homeless and by irregular Yugoslav forces in Udine after the end of the war, as well as constant mentions of his family and social activities; 4 case notebooks, a photograph showing the evacuation of patients from Souk Ahras in North Africa and a photograph of him in uniform have been placed with the collection.
