Description

Physical description

Rigid black plastic covered hinged suitcase with metal catches, combination log, black plastic carrying handle and two length ways pockets in lid. Contains two metal faced units one marked '437' and the other '188'. Central push button console.

History note

A H/F radio system designed in the 1970s by MI6 & Racal, and also known as the 'Tithe' suitcase radio. It was easy to use, secure, reliable and could withstand a nuclear weapon's detonation pulse.
