Object description
On board the SS RIGHTO, a fishing trawler operating from Grimsby in Lincolnshire, the Third Hand, J W Barber, ties the codend (the tapered end of the net where the fish is held), as the skipper, 67-year-old George Burgess, examines the catch. The original caption states that "if he is not getting the fish he wants he will move to fresh grounds". A third crew member can also be seen on deck.
