Content description

Ms letter (4pp) written in July 1915 whilst with the 2nd Battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps (1st Division) in France. He comments on the destruction of nearby Vermelles, censorship, and local beer. He hints at a coming offensive and was killed at Loos in September. With a `green envelope' and a preserved Flanders poppy.
