- Blairgowrie Advertiser Saturday 7th May 1921 MURTHLY The Murthly War Memorial,a bronze tablet in the Parish Church,with 13 names inscribed, was unveiled on Sunday at the forenoon service. Rev JL Thomson,Peterculter,preached and the dedication prayer was offered by Rev GE Thomson,minister of the parish. Colonel Steuart Fothringham of Murthly addressed the congregation and the memorial was unveiled by Mrs Steuart Forthringham.
