THIS WINDOW WAS ERECTED A.D. 1886/ TO THE MEMORY OF/ GENERAL ROBERT WARDLAW, C.B./ BY HIS OLD COMRADES, OFFICERS,/ NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICRS AND PRIVATE SOLDIERS/ OF THE ROYAL DRAGOONS/ IN WHICH REGIMENT HE SERVED FOR 32 YEARS/ DVRING (sic) 12 OF WHICH HE HELD THE COMMAND./ "SPECTEMVR AGENDO" Also 4th West: Fortitude Justice/ To the Glory of God and in memory of General Robert Wardlaw CB/ Born 13th January 1817 Died 1st December 1885
