- Description
- A gritstone obelisk surmounted by a ball. Inscriptions are incised on the 6 and 3 o'clock faces of the obelisk and on the rock surface near the base. A later metal plaque is set into the rock surface near the base. Three large natural rocks nearby, supposedly resembling ships' prows, are known as the Three Ships and have ships' names incised on their faces.
