Description
Brass plaque with triangular top with a foliate design with a cross on the top. Incised inscription in the centre. Incised on either side are soldiers in contemporary uniform with Prince of Wales feathers above.

IN MEMORY OF/ COL JOSEPH NOBLE BEASLEY/ LT COL COMMANDING 1ST BATT/ ROYAL IRISH FUSILIERS/ IN WHICH REGIMENT HE SERVED/ FOR UPWARDS OF 29 YEARS. HE/ WAS PRESENT WITH THE REGIMENT/ IN THE INDIAN AND EGYPTIAN/ CAMPAIGNS./ DIED IN ISMAILIA/ SEPT 19 1882 AGED 51 YEARS/ ALSO OF THE FOLLOWING OFFICERS AND MEN/ WHO WERE KILLED OR DIED OF WOUNDS/ OR DISEASE IN THE EGYPTIAN CAMPAIGN/ (NAMES)/ ERECTED BY THE OFFICERS/ NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS AND/ MEN OF THE REGIMENT
