- C 1965: STARCLIFFE METHODIST CHURCH USED TO STAND ON THIS SITE BEFORE IT WAS DEMOLISHED. THE OWNERS OF THEBUNGALOW BOUGHTTHE SITE AS SOON AS IT WAS ADVERTISED. THEY VISITED THE BUILDING SITE AS THEIR BUNGALOW WAS BEING ERECTED TO FIND THAT THE CROSS HAD BEEN DEMOLISHED AS WELL. THEY FOUND THE BASE BUT FAILED TO FIND THE IRON CROSS. ONCE THEY HAD BUILT THEIR HOME THEY RE-ERECTED THE MEMORIAL ON ITS ORIGINAL SITE AND PAID FOR A NEW CROSS C 1998: NAME ADDED AT THE REQUEST OF A RELATIVE
