- Description
- Tall plain octagonal Latin Cross on octagonal plinath and three-stepped base. Originally did not show names, bearing only a carved inscription across four faces, but metal panels bearing names for both World Wars were added during restoration in January 2000.

- Original inscription: (9 O'Clock) THIS CROSS WAS RAISED TO THE GLORY OF GOD (7 O'Clock) IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD 1923 (6 O'Clock) AS A MEMORIAL OF MEN CONNECTED WITH THE CHURCH AND PARISH (5 O'Clock) WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR (3 O'Clock) OR THROUGH THE HARDNESS THEY ENDURED Post 2000 inscription: THIS MEMORIAL WAS RESTORED / IN THE YEAR 2000 / BY ST MATTHEW'S CHURCH / AND STRETTON PARISH CONCIL. / THE NAMES OF THOSE WHO DIED / IN OR AS A RESULT OF BOTH / WORLD WARS WERE ADDED.
