GRANITE WALL ON WHICH ARE SIX BLACK STONE TABLETS WHICH BEAR NAMES IN GILT LETTERING. GRANITE CROSS STANDS AT FRONT CENTRE OF WALL. CROSS HAS OCTANGONAL BASE. ORNATE CANOPY STANDS PROUD OF TOP OF WALL AND COVERS TOP OF CROSS. THREE STEPS IN FRONT OF MEMORIAL. MEMORIAL STANDS IN SMALL GARDEM WHICH IS SURROUNDED BY BRICK WALL. WALL BEARS SMALL PLAQUES WITH LOCAL REGIMENTAL NAMES. ORNATE CARVING ON CANOPY AND ALONG TOP BORDER OF WALL.

1996: LEFT HAND BRICK "PIER" OF ENTRANCE TO THE WAR MEMORIAL GARDEN WAS DEMOLISHED IN AN ACCIDENT. THE WHOLE OF THE WALL TO THE LEFT OF THE GATEWAY WAS SUBSEQUENTLY REBUILT.
