- Description
- Obelisk, total height 17 feet, standing on a squared pedestal. The dedication is incised in a panel on the front of the obelisk itself, with a Tudor rose carved in half relief in each corner. The dates "1914" and "1918" are above and below this panel. The names from 1914-18 are on the front of the pedestal, those in the N.F. listed in two columns, those from other regiments in a single column. The names from 1939-45 are on the side of the pedestal. All lettering is in lead attached to the stone, using Roman capitals throughout.

Comments: Site given by Major E.P. Clayton of Walwick. Chollerford and District Branch of British Legion paid for the cost of adding two WW2 names on the memorial. Presumably the 3rd name was added at a later date.- Trust fund/Scholarship
