TWO-STEPPED PLINTH SURMOUNTED BY PEDESTAL, TAPERING SHAFT AND CELTIC CROSS. INSCRIPTION ON THE SIDES OF THE PEDESTAL. WHOLE IS SURROUNDED BY WROUGHT IRON RAILINGS. WREATH CARVED IN RELIEF AT THE TOP OF THE FRONT FACE OF THE PEDESTAL

In June 2001 War Memorials Trust gave £200 towards work to clean the sandstone, re-etch some of the lettering, repair and repaint the railings and replace the steps leading up to the memorial.
