Description
Shallow rectangular foundation base incorporating an overhanging weather stone, supporting a large rectangular sectioned tapering plinth, topped with a moulded square sectioned tapering capstone surmounted by a small Latin cross. Incised inscription & name panels within a contoured recessed area on all four plinth faces. As originally built, there was a stone bench round the base, encircled by iron railings. As at 2012, two rows of paving slabs now surround the memorial.

History
Stone soft & eroding in places. Original cross was removed many years ago due to safety reasons. It was missing for over forty years. March 2002 : A new cross has been added.
