- TO THE HONOUR AND IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF/ THE NEW ZEALAND SOLDIERS/ WHO SERVED DURING THE GREAT WAR AND DIED/ IN THE NEW ZEALAND GENERAL HOSPITAL/ BROCKENHURST. THEIR BODIES WERE LAID/ SIDE BY SIDE IN THE CHURCHYARD/ ONE OF THE NEW BELLS WAS GIVEN BY THEIR/ RELATIVES AND FRIENDS IN NEW ZEALAND/ AS A MEMORIAL OF THEIR SACRIFICE.
