- Triangular arched, pedimented white marble tablet on a shaped stone backboard, with the badge of the Royal Navy carved in the arch, with an explanatory brass plaque beneath. The incised inscription has been blacked.

- On the tablet: In Loving Memory of/ Robert George Herbert Lockwood, RN/ Assistant Paymaster HMS "Implacable"/ Only son of the Rector of this Parish/ who entered into rest at Malta October 20th 1905/ Aged 21 years./ "So he bringeth them unto the haven where they would be."/ Erected by the choir, Congregation and Scholars. On the brass plaque: The above memorial was originally/ erected in St James' Church, George/ Street, Manchester but upon the/ demolition of that Church in 1930/ the memorial was re-erected in this place.
