- Description
- Cenotaph in grey granite based on the Whitehall model, but a reduced version that is broader to the front than the sides, unlike the Whitehall Cenotaph. Two wide granite steps then low two stage plinth. The upper stage bears the date of the First World War in raised numerals. Just above is the high base with name plaques and then three receding small steps to top altar with rebated corners. Shallow ridged cap with incised Tudor rose on front face and laurel wreath in relief positioned on front face of stage.
