- THE ORIGINAL CHURCH ON THE SAME SITE WAS DESTROYED IN THE BLITZ, DECEMBER 1940. THE PLAQUE WAS SAVED BUT THE WOOD SURROUND WAS BURNED. NEW CHURCH WAS OPENED ON 7 MAY 1955
