A SMALL BRONZE DECORATIVE PLAQUE BENEATH WHICH ARE MOUNTED THREE MEDALS ALL ENCLOSED IN AN OAK GLAZED FRAME/BENEATH THE FRAME AND FIXED TO IT A BRASS PLAQUE IN FORM OF 4 ARMED CROSS WITH A CENTRAL RAISED MEDALLION ITS CIRCULAR BORDER BEARING IN RELIEF A LAUREL DESIGN INTERWINED WITH DATES/A FEMALE FIGURE HOLDING A TRIDENT AND LAUREL WREATH

THIS PLAQUE TOGETHER WITH THE 6 LIGHTS AT THE HIGH ALTAR & CHRISTMAS CRIB DESTROYED IN THE 1ST FIRE WERE GIVEN BY JOHN WILSON IN MEMORY OF HIS BROTHER WILLIAM WHO GAVE HIS LIFE IN THE SECOND BATTLE OF THE SOMME 1916
