IWM North Car Park

The car park at IWM North is managed by National Car Parks (NCP). The car park operates an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) pay and payment by card only is due on exit at our payment machine.

Alternatively, you can pay online after you leave via the NCP website.

Payment must be made within 24 hours after your visit if you chose to pay online after your visit.

Parking for pre-booked groups

The coach parking area is located in front of the tank, as you turn right into the main car park. Please park in an orderly fashion, leaving enough room for other coaches to park. 

All coach parking is on a first come first served basis, and coaches are charged £15 per visit (for 24 hours of parking). Our car park is pay on exit, and payment must be made at our payment machine, or online using the IWM coach parking code: IWMCOACH.

If you chose to pay online, payment must be made within 24 hours after your visit via the NCP website. You will need to use the code: IWMCOACH.

All payments much be made by debit/credit card. The payment machine does not accept coins or cash.

To avoid a fine for non-payment of parking fees, you will need to make sure this parking fee is paid and you have followed our car park Terms and Conditions.

 

Drop-off and collection of pre-booked groups

There is a 15-minute grace period before charges are applied by the ANPR system. If your drop off/pick up takes longer than this you need to pay the £15 
parking charge on the day.

 

Opening times

IWM North is open 10am-5pm. Our car park is open 9am – 7 pm, 7 days per week, although, IWM reserves the right to close our car park for any reason at any time.

You may not sleep overnight in your vehicle within the IWM North car park, and you will be asked to leave our car park if you fail to comply. 

Payment must always be made for your visit, and you must follow our car park Terms and Conditions. Failure to follow our car park Terms and Conditions may result in a Parking Charge Notice.
