Throughout the history of war, sexual violence has been perpetrated on a mass scale. It is built into stories of invasion and wartime suffering from the First World War, through the Second World War and into the present day.

Unsilenced considers the contexts in which sexual violence occurs in conflict, exploring how propaganda shapes perceptions of gender and power to shine a light on this often-silenced issue.
