How to book a visit

We are now taking bookings up to July 2025. 

All schools (UK and overseas) must book in advance.

  1. Fill out the Schools Visit Request Form stating the day(s) you would like to visit
  2. You will receive a booking confirmation when availability allows.
  3. Please don't make travel arrangements until you have received a confirmation email with your Visit Confirmation Letter attached.
  4. Payment can be made in advance or on arrival.
  5. Check the booking information and Terms and Conditions.
  6. Identify potential risks during your visit.
  7. Download a map of IWM Duxford

Please note children must be supervised at all times with at least one adult for every fifteen children. Large groups may have to be divided.

 

Exhibition Notices

Frequently asked questions

We are committed to ensuring IWM Duxford is accessible to all visitors. We also have some additional equipment and Quiet room access for prayer or sensory needs upon request.

IWM Duxford has limited public transport connections. Please check local bus timetables for more information or get directions via Google Maps, the AA Route planner or National Rail for more details.

We have a lunch space for schools and groups. When you book a visit to IWM you will be allocated a lunch time spot. Please note that from September 25th - November 17th there will be no guaranteed lunch room access at IWM Duxford due to works on site. We will endeavour to provide alternative options where possible, with priority for groups with booked Learning Sessions. We apologise for any inconvenience.

When using the lunchroom please ensure you do not remain in the space for longer than your allocated time. You are welcome to use the cleaning products provided to wipe down tables. Frequent cleaning will also be in place.

Home Education groups are welcome to book a self-guided visit in groups of 15 or more and school sessions can be booked for Home Educated groups of any size.  If the number in your group is less than 15 please consider buying a family ticket at our paid sites or taking part in a family activity.
