If you wish to visit the Second World War and The Holocaust Galleries during your visit to IWM London, entry is free with a timed ticket. When you arrive at IWM London, please collect a timed entry ticket from the Information desk on Level 0. Tickets for these exhibitions are not available to book in advance online.

We are expecting the new galleries to be busy in the first days after opening and we cannot guarantee entry to the galleries.

The easiest way to buy tickets for our charging branches - IWM Duxford, Churchill War Rooms and HMS Belfast - is online in advance.

Due to Covid-19 distancing measures and strictly limited capacity, we advise booking online in advance as tickets may not be available on the day of your visit.

We also recommend reserving your free ticket for IWM North before you visit.

There is no requirement to book in advance for any of our branches. Visitors, including members, are welcome to turn up on the day.

However, we do recommend booking in advance for IWM North, IWM Duxford, Churchill War Rooms and HMS Belfast if you can, to ensure you can enter at your preferred time even during busy periods.

For HMS Belfast bookings from October 2021, we have removed the necessity to book a time slot.

Only a 10:00 time slot will appear on the bookings page, however, you can arrive at your convenience on the day of your visit.

Unfortunately we do not offer a discounted rate for seniors, students or visitors with a disability at our air shows. However, visitors with a disability are able to bring a free personal assistant.

The maximum party size (number of items) you can add to one basket is 20, this also includes any add-on items such as tours and retail items. In order to purchase more than 20 items you will need to make separate bookings.

We do not send tickets out in the post. After you’ve booked your visit we'll send you a confirmation email with a link to download your e-tickets. You’ll need to print these or bring them on your smartphone or tablet when you visit for our staff to check.

Please note any tickets purchased from a third party agent must be printed off and handed in on entry to our museums.

If you don’t have a printer we recommend asking a friend who has printer access or visiting a library which has this facility. You are able to show your ticket on your smartphone or tablet. Please note any tickets purchased from a third party agent must be printed off and handed in on entry to our museums.

Our ticketing system prints the ticket name of the person who made the booking. Your tickets will still be valid for other members of your group to use on the day. Your ticket barcode will be scanned on entry.

No. We do not offer a collection facility.

No. If you want to book for several different branches/exhibitions, this will have to be done online in separate transactions.

No. We will not charge you a booking fee or any kind of handling fee when you buy your tickets online.

No. Vouchers can only be redeemed on the day of your visit. 

Most of our promotional codes can only be used online (please check the terms and conditions of the offer). When you book your online tickets please add the promotional code on the ‘select ticket’ screen and click enter.

No. Our tickets are non-transferrable and non-refundable and so please make sure that you are booking the correct ticket type for the correct day. See our terms and conditions.

No. Unfortunately we don’t offer an open dated day ticket. We do however have an annual membership scheme which offers unlimited admission to all of our paying branches. Find more information about IWM membership.

Yes.  If you purchase concessionary tickets (for example, Senior or Student) you must be able to provide evidence of your entitlement when you arrive.

Documentation showing proof of disability examples include: DLA (Disability Living Allowance) or ESA (Employment and Support Allowance) or PIP (Personal Independence Payment) or Attendance Allowance.  

Students will be required to show a valid student card as proof of concession.  

Yes, you can bring one free carer. You’ll need to select a free Personal Assistant ticket when you make your booking online.

IWM London welcomes visits from groups. Pre-booking for groups is not required.
