The easiest way to buy tickets to any IWM branch (HMS Belfast, Churchill War Rooms and IWM Duxford) including exhibitions is online in advance. You can also buy your tickets on the day of your visit. IWM London and IWM North are free admission.
If you are planning to attend an Air Show at IWM Duxford, all tickets must be booked in advance as tickets will not be available on the day. If you are planning to drive by car to an air show you will need to buy a parking permit as spaces are limited.
The maximum party size (number of items) you can add to one basket is 20, this also includes any add-on items such as tours and retail items. In order to purchase more than 20 items you will need to make separate bookings.

We have introduced time slots for the Churchill War Rooms (CWR) in an attempt to manage the increasingly long queues that we are getting.
Your allocated entrance time is the earliest time you should arrive and your entry time slot covers half an hour. If you think you may not be able to make your allocated entry time slot, please go along to CWR and speak to a member of staff who will assist you and ensure you gain entry as soon as possible. You do not need to contact us in advance to do this.
You will not be restricted to how long you can spend in the Churchill War Rooms once inside.
We do not send tickets out in the post. After you’ve booked your visit we'll send you a confirmation email with a link to download your e-tickets. You’ll need to print these or bring them on your smartphone or tablet when you visit for our staff to check.
Please note any tickets purchased from a third party agent must be printed off and handed in on entry to our museums.
If you don’t have a printer we recommend asking a friend who has printer access or visiting a library which has this facility. You are able to show your ticket on your smartphone or tablet. Please note any tickets purchased from a third party agent must be printed off and handed in on entry to our museums.
Our ticketing system prints the ticket name of the person who made the booking. Your tickets will still be valid for other members of your group to use on the day. Your ticket barcode will be scanned on entry.
