Dr Alex Kent is a specialist in cartography, particularly Soviet mapping, and co-author of The Red Atlas: How the Soviet Union Secretly Mapped the World (University of Chicago Press, 2017). He is Reader in Cartography and Geographic Information Science at Canterbury Christ Church University.
