Project Description

'Wellington Remembers' was a project carried out in Wellington, Shropshire to mark the centenary of the end of the First World War. Funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, it was supported and enabled by Wellington Town Council and Wellington History Group. Our group researched individual biographies of the 184 names inscribed on the Lychgate, the town's War Memorial. The research was delivered and shared as a book, and a local exhibition hosted in November 2018.
