Northamptonshire Military Tribunal Papers

This project aimed to provide an index to a rare survival of over 11,000 Tribunal case papers, by making them available to the research community. Supported by archive staff, a team of around ten volunteers created an index of nearly 15,000 references, which is now available on 'www.findmypast.co.uk'. This newly accessible material has proved popular with genealogists and local historians. It is also a useful educational resource for teaching about the Home Front and the wartime military exemption system.
