Project Description

The 'Albany Military Hospital' research project and exhibition was led by the children of Albany Primary School in Cardiff. Our website was initially created as part of a 2014 community project entitled 'Roath Remembers', but since evolved into an annual exhibition within our local community. Initially benefitted from Heritage Lottery Fund support, the project helped the school to commemorate the centenary of World War One, especially in learning about the school's location as a military hospital during the conflict. The school project was recognised by the Welsh Heritage Schools Initiative and won a Moondance Foundation award.
