- Description
- The memorial is a square shaped tapered obelisk mounted on a square shaped tapered base, to a height of 3m. Mounted at the top of the obelisk is a cast aluminium crucifix and below that a 0.98m zinc plaque with the names from WW1 and WW2 etched upon the plaque. The base plinth is inscribed with the wording "Lest We Forget". Set to the left and right of the memorial are two 2m tall obelisks inscribed with "Live in Peace", on the left, and "Rest in Peace" on the right. The wording is set on at 90 degree angle.

Details: The Memorial and Garden of Remembrance are part of a three-year transformation of the formerly neglected cemetery, initiated by the voluntary Friends of St Peter’s and funded by the National Lottery and local donations, which took place between 2017 and 2020. - Responsibility
