Mottled marble plaque with brass plate, inscribed.
Inscription
In affectionate remembrance of Bryan Sneyd/Herbert, second son son of Bryan Sneyd Broughton/formally Rector of this Parish. Born AD Washington/July 10th 1838 and drowned in Queen Charlotte's/Sound, New Zealand, April 21st, 1862./Also of Thomas Henry his younger brother born/AD Washington Jan 22nd 1845 and drowned in/the wreck of H.M.S. Orpheus at Manuka,/ New Zealand, Feb. 7th 1863/ This monument is placed by their brothers/Reginald and Clement John Edward Broughton/ and by their Aunt Mary Jane Briggs./ Out of the depths I cry to you O Lord.
