- Portrait-oriented wooden board, broadly rectangular but with angled lower edge. The inscription is in painted capital letters, with those of the enlistees who died being annotated with an asterisk. (10 of the 12 men annotated on this Roll of Honour board as having died were also commemorated on the Company's WW1 memorial plaque - see our record 14534; however, that plaque did not include Frederick Hawley and George Marsden-Smedley, who are annotated on this Roll of Honour as having died).

- The John Smedley Archive Charitable Trust have kindly advised that the memorial was created during the WW1 Centenary. Mr Len Fisher (a Lea Mills carpenter) constructed the board from a carefully selected section of wood from an old mill table; it was then sign-written
