Rectangular brass plaque with a silver crest at the top centre. The incised inscription is in black lettering.

TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN MEMORY OF/ THOSE OFFICERS, INDIAN OFFICERS AND OTHER RANKS/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE SERVICE OF/ THEIR COUNTRY 1849-1947/ THIS TABLET IS ERECTED TO REPLACE THOSE MEMORIALS/ WHICH WERE DESTROYED/ WHEN THE CHURCH AT KOHAT WAS BURNT DOWN/ IN 1938.

History
This plaque replaces those memorials which were lost in the fire at St Augustine's Church, Kohat in 1938; Punjab Frontier Force Memorial; Wall S1. After the partition of India in August 1947 the Frontier Force units were divided between the Indian and Pakistan Armies; it was then decided that the memorials to the Piffers erected in the garrison churches should be relocated to England, and in 1951 they were installed in the Parish Church of St Luke's, Chelsea. In 1998 this plaque was among several Frontier Force-related memorials that were donated to the National Army Museum.
