Details: In 1919 a War Memorial Committee chaired by the Mayor asked the public as individual's and organisations for donations. The SS Nicholas & St. Faith Parish Magazine of May 1950 says:- "In the present year we have seen the erection of the War Memorial on the plot of ground transferred by the Church to the Corporation [on which the WW1 Memorial stands], and the general aspect is not only pleasing it is also inspiring." The War Committee minutes say:- "A Service of Dedication was held at St. Nicholas & St. Faith Church at 3pm on 10th December 1950 conducted by Canon Prior, attended by His Worship the Mayor of Saltash Cllr George Deacon."
