Description
An illuminated Roll of Honour, with the county shield at top-centre. It lists the names of officers of the Constabulary who served in the Armed Forces in WW1, with annotations re those of them who were killed in action, died of wounds or died on service. (N.B. As the Roll of Honour commemorated the military service of officers of the Constabulary, it did not include P.C. Robert Telford, who was fatally injured while on Police duty by a bomb dropped from an enemy airship; he is, however, named on the County Constabulary's memorial plaque to its officers who died in WW1- see our reference 34165).
