- Very tall tapering shaft surmounted by small square cross. Set into the front is stylised figure of Christ holding a gashed palm outwards and a sword, point downwards. To the rear is inset a small shrine with seated Virgin and child. On square plinth and four stepped base.

Details: The memorial was a gift to the village by Sir Ernest Debenham- who had built the village between 1919 and 1932 in an attempt to prove that country living could be self-sufficient and thus turn the tide away from the cities. After his death and that of two of the three other trustees, the Parish Council undertook the Trusteeship of the memorial in 1954. - Responsibility
