White marble tablet with black lettering. Commemorates Alfred James Youngs, a Linen Keeper on board HMHS Salta.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF/ ALFRED JAMES,/ THE DEARLY LOVED SON OF WILLIAM AND EMILY,/ AND HUSBAND OF MARIE OLIVIA YOUNGS./ HE LOST HIS LIFE ON H.M.H.S. “SALTA”,/ WHICH WAS MINED IN THE CHANNEL./ INTERRED AT LE HAVRE MILITARY CEMETERY,/ APRIL 16TH 1917, AGED 25 YEARS./ HIS DUTY NOBLY DONE.
