- Description
- Ornate nowy-headed tablet. The semi-circular top section is separated by a raised ledge and contains an allegorical figure. At the top of the rectangular lower section a swagged wreath hangs above a circular low-relief silhouette with the dedication at the bottom.

- TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN PROUD AND LOVING MEMORY OF/CHARLES EDWARD HENRY TEMPEST-HICKS M.C., CROIX DE GUERRE./CAPTAIN 16TH (THE QUEEN'S) LANCERS, AGED 30 YEARS./MOST DEARLY BELOVED ONLY SON OF BRIGADIER GENERAL AND MRS. TEMPEST-HICKS/WHO GAVE HIS LIFE FOR HIS KING AND COUNTRY/HE FELL MORTALLY WOUNDED AT THE HEAD OF HIS SQUADRON/AT WARVILLIERS AUGUST 9TH 1918, AFTER FOUR YEARS CONTINUOUS/ACTIVE SERVICE IN FRANCE AUGUST 1914 -AUGUST 1918./LAID TO REST IN THE BRITISH MILITARY CEMETERY AT LONGEAU.
