- Ornate white marble plaque on black backboard, comprising a standing soldier supporting a wounded comrade, set against a background of a memorial stone with the word Vittoria set within a wreath. At their feet is a profiled portrait in bas-relief within a circular frame and swathed in a banner. A decorated pediment surmounts the scene.

- TO THE MEMORY OF/LIEUTENANT COLONEL THE HONOURABLE HENRY CADOGAN,/OF HIS MAJESTY'S SEVENTY FIRST REGIMENT,/WHO FELL AT THE BATTLE OF VITTORIA ON THE 21ST JUNE 1813,/IN THE 33RD YEAR OF HIS AGE./THE OFFICERS OF HIS REGIMENT HAVE ERECTED THIS MONUMENT/IN TOKEN OF THEIR ESTEEM AND REGRET
