White marble tablet on black marble pattress in very plain classical style. It has a shallow pointed top. All lettering is in Roman capitals.

SACRED TO THE MEMORY/OF/ROBERT ROMER, ESQUIRE, AND OF FRANCES, HIS WIFE;/HE WAS BORN 13TH OF SEPTEMBER 1749, DIED 7TH OF NOVEMBER 1834/SHE DEPARTED THIS LIFE 4TH OF MAY 1789, AGED 27 YEARS//THIS MARBLE IS ALSO DEDICATED IN REMEMBRANCE OF THEIR/SECOND SON WILLIAM ROMER, ESQUIRE./LATE CAPTAIN OF THE ROYAL ARTILLERY,/WHO BORNE DOWN BY THE UNPARALLELED SUFFERINGS/OF THE PRECEEDING CAMPAIGN, EXPIRED/AS THE BRITISH TROOPS WERE EMBARKING AR CORUNNA/JANUARY 1809/AETAT XXVII//IN CHRIST IS OUR HOPE
