Family gravestone with inlaid lead lettering inscription. The head of the gravestone is ornamented with clasping hands and sprigs of ivy.
Inscription
IN LOVING MEMORY OF/ THOMAS,/ THE BELOVED HUSBAND/ OF EDITH EVANS,/WHO LOST HIS LIFE AT THE BEDWAS COLLIERY./ DEC. 18TH 1914, AGED 42 YEARS./ ALSO OF ANNIE MARGARET,/ THEIR BELOVED DAUGHTER,/ WHO DIED MAY 18TH 1911, AGED 10 YEARS./ " BLESSED ARE THE PURE IN HEART, FOR THEY/ SHALL SEE GOD."/ ALSO OF PTE IVOR EVANS, R. W. F./ THEIR BELOVED SON/ WHO DIED IN FRANCE ON ACTIVE SERVICE./ NOV. 4TH 1918, AGED 21 YEARS./ "DUTY NOBLY DONE." (Although a number of the inlaid lead characters have been lost the inscription is still legible).
