- Rectangular wall mounted tablet with decorative patterning carved along the bottom and a half filial topping the tablet. The inscription is in black capital lettering.

- IN MEMORY OF/ CAPTAIN THOMAS REMON/ OF THE BOMBAY ENGINEERS/ WHO DIED IN THE PRIME OF LIFE AND/ MATURITY OF REPUTATIONMANDAVIE/ IN THE EAST INDIES ON HIS WAY TO COMMAND/ THE FIELD FORCE IN CUTCH/ ON THE 5TH NOVEMBER 1825 AGED 35 YEARS./ HI BROTHER OFFICERS WHO SHARED HIS/ FRIENDSHIP WHILE LIVING DESIRED TO PAY A/ TRIBUTE TO HIS DEPARTED WORTH AND TO. PERPETUATE HIS MEMORU ERECTED A MONUMENT/ IN A CHRISTIAN TEMPLE DESIGNED BY HIS GENIUS/ AND REARED BY HIS HAND IN KAIRA WHICH/ MONUMENT WAS REMOVED TO BOMBAY CATHEDRAL/ IN CONSEQUENCE OF AN EARTHQUAKE/ DESTROYING THE TEMPLE./ THIS TABLET IS ERECTED BY HIS AFFECTIONATE/ SISTER AND HER HUSBAND/ REAR ADMIRAL BERTTRAM/ IN THIS HIS NATIVE PARISH CHURCH.
