Description

A pair of rectangular brass plaque, a naval badge to the left of Cmdr Murray's and a Argyle & Sutherland Highlandwers badge to the left of the second, a broad, leaf design border. Lettering incised in black. The Plaque is set on a polished wood backboard.

Plaque 1: TO THE DEAR MEMORY OF / COMMANDER JOHN BERKELEY MURRAY/ KILLED ON ACTIVE SERVICE IN THE EXPLOSION ON/ HMS NATAL, 30TH DECEMBER 1915, AGED 33/ THIRD SON OF W. BERKELEY MURRAY MD (LATE OF TENBURY)/ "IN SURE AND CERTAIN HOPE." Plaque 2: IN UNFADING AND GRATEFUL MEMORY OF/ LIEUT. & ADJ.
