- History
- The memorial was recreated and dedicated in 2014. This originally stood in the original parish church but was removed and destroyed with only elements remaining including the plaques and figures. It had been dismantled in 1965 in the parish church and now stands back in its original location in a niche at the rear of the now Cathedral. This was remade by a local joinery company who recreated the memorial from some old images of it which were found in archives. The memorial plaques before this had been mounted on the wall in a transept of the cathedral and the figures kept in storage.
