- Large brass plaque, portrait wall mounted, incised with red cross top centre, eagle motiff in round window, top left centre, and side silohuette of a lady to right. The border surronding the text panel is highly decorative grape vines and small corsses.

M.P. / 2ND SON OF FRANCIS 1ST LORD CONWAY / ONLY BROTHER OF 1ST MARQUIS OF HERTFORD / BORN 1720 / HE SERVED IN SEVEN YEARS WAR & COMMANDED / WITH HIGH REPUTATION / THE BRITISH FORCES IN / GERMANY IN 1761 / HE WAS IN HOUSEHOLD OF GEORGE THIRD WAS / SECRETARY OF STATE FROM 1765 TO 1768 / AND IN 1782 WAS APPOINTED COMMANDER / OF THE FORCES. / HE MARRIED CAROLINE WIDOW OF EARL OF / AILESBURY IN 1747 BY WHOM HE HAD AN / ONLY DAUGHTER ANNE MARRIED TO JOHN / ELDEST SON OF J DAMER EARL OF DORCHESTER. / HE DIED 9TH JULY 1795 AND WAS BURIED / IN THE VAULT BENEATH THIS CHURCH. / THIS TABLET IS INSRCIBED OUT OF RESPECT / TO HIS MEMORY BY / FRANCIS / M.G. / 5TH MARQUIS OF HERTFORD.
