- Shepton Mallet Journal - Friday 08 December 1916 St. Augustine’s, a new church at Gillingham. Kent, on the summit of the hill on which Augustine himself preached in the early days of Christianity, was consecrated by the Bishop of Rochester on Saturday; Mr. G. Knox Anderson, of Canterbury, gave £1,000, which enabled the church to opened before Christmas.
