- Description
- A three light stained glass window with two quarter lights at the top, the left and right lights are plain. The middle light has central to, and running down from the top of the window a central band of vertical blue streaky glass moving down to the centre of the window. This colour is a backdrop to the falling parachutists within a dark night and ebbing sky as Dakotas and Horsa gliders transport and release their men onto the battle field. Below the larger Horsa glider is an abstracted depiction of the Pegasus. Below this motif appears an outline of the Parachute Regiment badge and below this, the badges of 'The Border Regiment', 'The Kings Own Scottish Border Regiment' and 'The South Staffordshire Regiment'. Below this appears the silhouette of the Arnhem bridge and inscription. Associated with the window and positioned below is a wooden lectern with a brass dedicatory plaque attached on the top.
