Description
A 16th century style heraldic shield with chamfered edges upright and leaning against the back of his fathers headstone, inscription in lead lettering. Fathers headstone: Gothic stone standing on a chamfered base. IHS motif at top with a beaded top border and leaves either side. Inscription in lead lettering.

Shield inscription: In/ Loving Memory of/ HENRY SELLARS,/ SON OF THE ABOVE,/ WHO DIED IN FRANCE/ APRIL 16TH 1916,/ AGED 26 YEARS/ GREATER LOVE THAN THIS HATH/ NO MAN, THAT HE GIVETH/ HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS. Headstone inscription: IHS/ In/ Affectionate Remembrance/ of/ HENRY SELLARS,/ WHO DEPARTED THIS LIFE/ JANUARY 15TH 1913,/ AGED 58 YEARS/ " SORROW VANQUISHED, LABOUR ENDED,/ JORDAN PAST"
