- Condition
- History
- It is understood that the scrolls were discovered neglected, with broken glazing, in a store cupboard, and were cleaned and reglazed in time for Remembrance Day 2019. There may have been another scroll - a Parish Magazine for St Mary's, Leigh, for 1926, contains a Roll of Honour for the School which lists 276 names. The first scroll runs from A to S, and the list on the second scroll is in haphazard order - perhaps indicating that there may have been another scroll covering from S to Y, plus further names.
