Description
Wall mounted, landscape orientated, framed and glazed Roll of Honour document. Names of those who served and returned are handwritten in black ink whilst the names of the fallen in red ink, which is now faded. Top half of the Roll depicts a colourful panorama of scenes. Left - Britannia encouraging a ploughman to fight for his Country; centre - a Naval scene; right - Britannia praising the ploughman who is now a soldier in battledress. At the top of the complete panoramic scene are four heraldic shields, representing left to right, (three lions) England, (lion rampant) Scotland, (harp) Ireland and again, (three lions) England.
