A ships crest above a brass plaque on a U-shaped wooden board.
Inscription
H.M.S. FIRECREST // This crest from H.M.S. Firecrest was / recovered by Able Seaman J.L. Parfitt after / the ship was badly damaged by a bomb in the / Mediterranean in 1941. Later, H.M.S. Firedrake / was torpedoed and sunk on the 17th December 1942 / in the North Atlantic, with the loss of 168 / members of her crew. The crest was presented by / the H.M.S. Firedrake Association in memory / of all those who served and lost their lives in her.
